In una città affaticata dal caldo appiccicoso di un week-end di fine estate, i destini di Anna, Bruno, Irene, Dennis, Marika e Ferruccio s’incrociano e evaporano lasciando in bocca il sapore amaro della nostalgia. Ragazzi della generazione millennians, nati dopo gli anni ottanta, si sono trovati alla soglia dell’età adulta in piena crisi economica, cresciuti senza certezze nel lavoro, nell’amore, negli affetti. Vivono a Cagliari. Per loro “partire” spesso non è un’opportunità ma una scelta obbligata per la mancanza di prospettive.
Il film è strutturato in quattro episodi intrecciati nello sviluppo narrativo e legati dal tema del partire alla ricerca di un riconoscimento di valore che sanno di poter trovare soltanto altrove. L’idea del viaggio, vissuto come ineluttabile, appare però più faticosa che avventurosa.
Qualcuno parte, qualche altro sogna tutta la vita di andarsene anche se poi finisce per restare. La nostalgia accompagna comunque chi parte e chi resta.

In a city tired by the sticky heat of a weekend in late summer, the destinies of Anna, Bruno, Irene, Dennis, Marika and Ferruccio cross and evaporate leaving in the mouth the bitter taste of nostalgia. Boys of the millennial generation, born after the eighties, found themselves at the
threshold of adulthood in the midst of an economic crisis, raised without certainties in work, love, affections. They live in Cagliari. For them "to leave" is often not an opportunity but an obligatory choice due to the lack of perspectives.
The film is structured in four episodes intertwined in narrative development and linked by the theme of starting out in search of a recognition of value that they know they can only find elsewhere. The idea of the journey, lived as ineluctable, however, appears more difficult than adventurous.
Someone leaves, some other dreams all the life to leave even if it ends up staying. Nostalgia still accompanies those who leave and those who remain
